The objective of attracting visitors
and business to Washington, D.C., by developing marketing efforts
that target specific countries and communities is a fundamental
necessity for the economy of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan
region.
The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, in accordance
with organizations in the tourism industry, is involved in the
development of the promotion of Washington, D.C., as a premier
attraction for tourism and Businesses. The focus put forth on Latin
America and the Iberian Peninsula has generated much needed
knowledge of travel trends.
The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce plays an active
role in receiving delegations from Latin America and the Iberian
Peninsula and also participates in a number of conferences in the
Washington, D.C. region that focus on international issues. A large
effort of the Chamber also includes promotional visits to Latin
America and Spain with Chambers of commerce, business entities and
corporations to develop business partnerships and to endorse
Washington, D.C., as a premiere city for trade and culture.
The Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce believes that
with the right communication and involvement with the partnering
organizations which make up this program, the objective of becoming
the first choice destination for the business and leisure Latino
traveler will undoubtedly be accomplished.
